If you have been named as an Executor in a Will or if a close friend or relative has died, dealing with Probate and someone’s estate can be a very daunting task.
As the personal representative you are responsible for the administration of the estate. This can often include valuing all the assets at the date of death, making sure all the liabilities are paid such as debts and funeral costs, and then distributing the estate to the beneficiaries in accordance with the Will or of they have died intestate, the Government laid out “intestacy rules”. There may be several Government departments to contact and inform – It is very common for someone’s Estate to have to repay state benefits or pension payments made after the loss of your loved one as sometimes these continue to get paid for a short while after death. We can help with these types of issues and help to ensure there are no issues in the future.
